Roll of Honour (Alexandria Term 3 2006)
Report Australian Technology Park Oval Alexandria Aug -Sept 06
Held on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM at the ATP Oval (Alexandria), on behalf of the Eastern Suburbs Community College from 1st August 2006 to 19th Sept 2006
Summary (by Michael Feeney)
The Alexandria course was great fun. An enthusiastic class made each night a “ball” as they increased their fitness while they worked hard on developing ball control and passing ability.
The nature of the program allows each player to develop at their own pace so while newcomers to the game were learning to control and run with the ball, the more advanced players were learning to dummy and turn with speed.
The overall standard of play was very impressive. Inspired by the World Cup some of the “never kicked a soccer ball before” crew showed great natural ability - amazing what you can learn from watching on TV!!!
Those who had some experience seemed to reawaken long dormant soccer talents and proved in the shooting drills that if Sydney FC needs a replacement for Dwight Yorke well….they can talk to us!!!
