Some pointers for a safe fun SoccerFit™Experience

by liamod last modified 2008-03-19 21:49
General  Details of the injury risks associated with the SoccerFit™ Fitness workout are provided in the document entitled ‘SoccerFit Health, Safety and Risk Awareness Guidelines’ which is available from this website - (please click here to download). All SoccerFit participants must be familiar with the guidelines prior to commencement of SoccerFit.

In brief...

1. Please exercise Caution

The SoccerFit fitness workout program can challenge your body in ways you may not expect. We encourage participants to proceed slowly when they first try SoccerFit. This allows people to find their ‘comfortable level’ more easily.

Please observe the following precautions :-

  • Do not participate in SoccerFit™ if you are feeling unwell or currently consulting with a medical practitioner for an ongoing or chronic medical condition.
  • Do not participate in SoccerFit™ against doctor’s advice.
  • Make sure you drink plenty of water before, during and after your SoccerFit™ workout.

2. A Pain-Free Experience

SoccerFit does NOT follow the ‘no pain no gain’ mantra of other fitness outlets. On the contrary, if ‘something hurts’, then it’s likely you may be ‘doing it wrong’ or ‘doing too much of it’.

As with any vigorous workout, mild sensations of muscular tenderness may be felt afterwards for a short period of time. If you experience muscular aches and pains, this may be an indication that you are ‘over-exerting’ and are strongly advised to reduce your exertion levels.

3. Changes to the programme

Variations and adjustments to the SoccerFit Fitness Workout may occur at the discretion of the SoccerFit™ instructor
